The Purchasing Expeditor works with vendors to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of goods to designated locations. Expedites vendor-related production delays by resolving issues with late deliveries, discrepancies in quality or quantity, or failure to meet established specifications. Being a Purchasing Expeditor typically reports to a supervisor. Typically requires a bachelor’s degree. Being a Purchasing Expeditor work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Our company is looking for a Expeditor (Purchasing) to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop best buying strategies whilst maintaining program, quality and budget;
  • Generation of all enquiry and purchase order documentation;
  • Support and provide cover for other members of the team as required;
  • Close liaison and coordination with Production Control department;
  • Identification and selection of suppliers including performance monitoring;
  • Managing the items to order list to ensure all required items are procured in line with the demands of each project;
  • Development of Purchase requisitions into Purchase orders (Stock);
  • Expediting and tracking of all existing orders;
  • Orders placed in a timely manner to ensure delivery on time;
  • Monitor supplier on time delivery and delivery schedules.

Requirements:

  • Can do attitude;
  • Prior experience in a Manufacturing environment preferable within a Supply Chain function;
  • degree educated.
