Responsibilities:
- To continuously work towards 100% customer on time delivery performance;
- Work with internal teams and suppliers to ensure we meet, or exceed, our customers’ delivery requirements;
- Forward thinking order-book assessment to identify delivery and quality issues ahead of time;
- Coordinating and executing external subcontract processing requirements to meet customer delivery commitments;
- Maintain an auditable file of all relevant expediting documentation for each purchase order in relevant shared drive / area;
- Demonstrate commitment to safe working practices;
- Notifying Senior Expeditor / Supply Chain Manager of any potential schedule slippages;
- Using principles of root cause analysis to support the implementation of corrective actions;
- Daily desk expediting of purchase orders;
- Communicate well as part of a team ensuring queries are resolved quickly;
- Updating of materials management system (i.e. MATERIA) with the expediting status of Purchase Orders;
- Understands and works to the Wood Financial Management Framework;
- Continually set expediting follow up dates in materials management system (i.e. MATERIA);
- Creation of daily expediting reports in materials management system (i.e. MATERIA);
- Understands and lives Woods vision, values and behaviours.
Requirements:
- Able to work proactively both individually and as part of a small team;
- Experience in a Manufacturing or Product based environment;
- A strong individual capable of working on own initiative whilst being a good team player;
- Task performance driven and tenacious;
- Experienced in managing, interpreting and analysing purchasing data with strong IT skills;
- Use of MRP system for in a manufacturing & production environment;
- Confident and professional manner in dealing with suppliers and internal customers;
- Previous purchasing experience for machined parts or electrical in a manufacturing environment, with preference for medium batch high variety;
- Previous proven experience expediting and driving improvements to OTIF.
