Hotel Receptionist Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Hotel Receptionist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Dealing with online bookings;
- Providing excellent customer service;
- Ordering transport;
- Process all guest check-ins/check outs by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key;
- Answering a switchboard and directing calls;
- Ensuring the meeting rooms are well presented and ready for use;
- General administration tasks;
- Dealing with both incoming and outgoing post;
- Diary Management;
- Respond to Guest queries in a timely and consistent efficient manner;
- Ensure that both the Reception Manager and Reception Supervisors are aware of any relevant feedback from Guests and/or other departments;
- Dealing with complaints and other situations;
- The Reception team are responsible for dealing with enquires and taking bookings for bedrooms, restaurant reservations, functions and weddings;
- Checking-in and checking-out;
- Meeting and greeting members and their guests.
Requirements:
- Positive attitude and good communication skills;
- Previous experience in a customer-focused industry;
- Excellent grooming standards;
- Completed high school certificate or equivalent;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Committed to delivering a high level of customer service;
- Experience within the hotel industry (advantageous but not essential);
- Competent level of IT proficiency;
- Well presented;
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team;
- Previous experience within a Receptionist/ customer facing role.
