Our company is looking for a Inventory Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice on Inventory Management for the procurement of storage and warehouse operations services;
  • Analyze data to anticipate future needs;
  • Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met;
  • Manage the execution of inventory management activities including the oversight of contractor’s Storage and warehouse team;
  • Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus;
  • Report directly to the company founders on stock levels, issues etc;
  • Ensure that the inventory management process meets nuclear, environmental and industrial safety regulatory requirements;
  • Communicates with purchasing regarding shipping requirements; responds to inquiries relating to packing lists and shipping instruction;
  • Develop and execute effective strategies and plans in line with the overall programme execution plan;
  • Monitor compliance to meet internal control procedures and take appropriate corrective action;
  • Promote the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency throughout the Site Operations team;
  • Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory;
  • Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures;
  • Ensure product stock is adequate for all distribution channels and can cover direct demand from customers;
  • Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships.

Requirements:

  • Significant, demonstrable change management experience;
  • Demonstrable commercial skills supported by a pragmatic approach and not afraid to get into the detail when required;
  • Demonstrable experience of effective inventory management including remote stock locations;
  • Educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience;
  • Demonstrable planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and the ability to work to tight deadlines;
  • Significant, demonstrable experience gained within a supply chain, distribution/logistics or retail function;
  • Confident in a visible environment with a high level of personal and professional credibility;
  • Good business acumen including the ability to identify key issues and risks before they arise;
  • SAP experience;
  • Detailed knowledge of materials, stores management procedures and warranty processes;
  • CIPS Professional diploma in Procurement and Supply or equivalent NVQ lvl 3 or 4;
  • Good organisational skills;
  • Good knowledge of IT systems: Microsoft Excel;
  • Experienced in stock control and inventory management;
  • A good knowledge of best practice procurement and buying processes.
