Our company is looking for a Part Time Finance Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations;
  • Dealing with online payments, cash handling, banking;
  • Other ad-hoc finance admin and admin duties as required;
  • Produce monthly journals;
  • Accounts receivable (preparation, billing, reminders);
  • Raising sales invoices;
  • Review the Aged Creditors on a monthly basis;
  • Checking expense forms and entering details to a spreadsheet for payroll;
  • Dealing with billing queries;
  • Processing payment runs;
  • Produce monthly management accounts in a timely manner;
  • Reconciliations;
  • Review cashflow on a daily basis;
  • Preparing payment runs;
  • Processing daily cashbook entries, reconciling bank data to the finance system.

Requirements:

  • Intermediate Excel skills – V-lookups/Pivot tables;
  • Aat/acca/cima;
  • Good transactional knowledge;
  • Outstanding interpersonal, team building and communication skills;
  • Payroll preparation experience with a working knowledge of the basic principles;
  • Time management and prioritisation abilities;
  • Use of accounting and software packages e.g. Sage, Microsoft Office, Excel;
  • Ability to make decisive, commercially aware decisions;
  • Able to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information;
  • Proven people skills in a customer-facing environment;
  • Experience of supporting accounts receivable and accounts payable preferred;
  • Analytical and problem solving knowledge.
