Sessional Support Worker Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Sessional Support Worker to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To Liaise with Foster Carers;
- To observe and implement the agency’s Child Protection and Safe Guarding Policies and Procedures;
- Safely Transport Children or Young People to meetings / contacts and any other activities;
- To understand Family Law;
- Support Children & Young People in maintaining contact with birth families and siblings;
- Undertake supervised contact with Children’s Families;
- Ensure your transport meets legal and agency Health & Safety requirements;
- Able to work unsocial hours on an Adhoc basis;
- Report Concerns to line manager, especially safeguarding;
- To undertake other duties appropriate to the post as required by the agency;
- To safely transport children or young people to meetings/contacts and any other activities as required, using your own transport;
- To have an understanding of Family Law – training will be given if necessary.
Requirements:
- To be able to engage in positive relationships with children and young people and their families;
- Ability to work across related agencies ·
- To have an understanding of child development, especially in relation to the looked after child;
- To have an understanding of Health and Safety in relation to your work and to be responsible for your own Health and Safety;
- To have a current full driving licence and to have access to a car and be willing to transport children/young people whenever necessary. ·
