  • Filing of documents;
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries;
  • Ensuring all follow up appointments have been arranged;
  • Obtaining investigations results;
  • Audio transcription of clinic letters, medical reports, operation notes.


  • Previous experience as audio typist;
  • Good telephone manner;
  • RSA II or equivalent qualification in Audio typing/word processing or equivalent experience;
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to function efficiently under pressure and able to meet strict deadlines.
