Assembly Mechanic – Level 1 Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Assembly Mechanic – Level 1 to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform final test of the unit in accordance with approved data to determine eligibility for return to service;
- Prioritise & process units to meet customer due dates;
- Figure out material required to Overhaul/Repair;
- Process units in accordance with the Quality Management System. & Repair Station Manual & MOE;
- Perform a preliminary inspection of the unit to include a diagnostic test, disassembly, cleaning & component inspection.
Requirements:
- Aiding the rest of the workshop as needed;
- Conversant with engineering drawing practice;
- Responsible for performing operational functions on a manual lathe and mill;
- Proactively identify and make recommendation for improvements;
- To monitor tool wear, adjust offsets and replace inserts when necessary, ensuring correct operation of the machine always;
- Use of a wide range of measuring equipment to check components during manufacture;
- Ability to deliver products to deadlines;
- Ideally be apprentice trained;
- Setting / operating and manufacturing a variety of small and medium sized components to tight tolerances;
- Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to Health and Safety procedures and policies;
- Demonstrate good housekeeping practices.
