dvp dfmea engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a dvp dfmea engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain customer SCSS (Special Characteristic Summary Sheet) documentation;
- Responsible for DFMEA Process and documentation Plan;
- Preparing test plans and documentation for DVP activities;
- Liaising with the customer and stakeholder for validation scope and sign off;
- Participate in quality lead activities during build phases;
- Participate in PDP/EL 181 activities in the prototype assembly plant;
- Responsible for managing Exceptions process which includes raising and tracking;
- Arrange and participate in Prototype build Fresh Eyes events;
- Understanding and collating customer requirements for Harness Designs;
- Obtain SCSS sign-off from Internal and External customers;
- Arrange and participate in Harness Tear Down events;
- Classifying and scheduling requirements and test cases;
- Providing reports on test tasks and generating metrics to show progress;
- Maintain and update DFMEA supporting documentation (P-Diagrams, Interface Matrix, Boundary Diagrams).
Requirements:
- Very good communication skills combined with a high degree of self-motivation;
- UK or Equivalent Driving Licence;
- Microsoft Office Packages: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Projects;
- Ability to be flexible regarding working hours and location;
- Working and practical knowledge of working in to Automotive EDS requirements;
- Vehicle assembly process, especially EDS related aspects;
- Previous proven experience of testing and evaluation methods;
- Previous systems experience of RMDV² (DOORS and RTC) and SDOTs;
- Right to work in the UK – Valid Passport;
- 3D CAD knowledge to be able to read and interpret drawings;
- Fluent in English language;
- Well-developed analytical ability with a passion for solving problems or initiating improvements;
- University degree in electrical, mechanical or automotive engineering, or equivalent;
- Working knowledge of GPDS, DVP, FMEA and APQP;
- Must be able to use own initiative and happy to make decisions.
