Head of Foundry Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Head of Foundry to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Overarching Responsibility of Pattern Shop, Repliwax, Foundry, Fettling and Upgrade (Welding);
- Technical Development through all sub-departments;
- Meeting agreed target KPIs and management of efficient working hours;
- Implementation of and follow operational standards and procedures;
- Responsibility for delivery of a casting from order receipt to delivery to customer (internal or external);
- Interaction with technical department and customer service related to manufacturing activities and customer requirements;
- Method Sheets / Standardised processes for cut-off;
- People Development, Apprentices and key skill succession planning;
- Improve workflow, processes and procedures;
- Strong ability to communicate and coordinate a large spread team of people;
- Strong Leadership & people management skills;
- Foundry experience, technical qualification is desirable (Degree or equivalent preferable);
- New Plant ROI;
- Planning Strategy;
- Work in collaboration with Head of Machining to ensure the smooth transition of product through to internal customers.
