Our company is looking for a MIG Welder fabricator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Remove any scale from the weld areas;
  • Measuring and cutting materials using the equipment provided;
  • Must be able to Weld and Fabricate from detailed drawings;
  • Degrease prior to welding;
  • Used to working with heavy materials and welding up to thicknesses of 40mm;
  • Ensure all material(s) is free from damage or corrosion;
  • Delivery of projects within agreed timescales and budgets;
  • Must be able to meet production dead lines;
  • Fabricate the assembly with high quality welds;
  • Working to Engineering drawings;
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure that deadlines are archived;
  • Willingly carry out other duties deemed appropriate by the company;
  • Neatness of work, such as flushed weld finish; material(s) surface finish;
  • Must be able to self-inspect own work;
  • Working from technical drawings constantly, most items will be either unique or a small batch.

Requirements:

  • Experience with welding pressure vessels or leak tested containers;
  • Ability to work with others, with a “can-do” attitude;
  • Previously worked with 0.6mm – 15mm plate;
  • Experienced MIG Welding on Mild Steels in fillet and butt joints;
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings;
  • The successful candidate must be able to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings;
  • Previous experience of MIG Welding;
  • Be prepared to undertake welding tests regularly to maintain EN standards;
  • Minimum of 2+ years welding experience.
