MOT Tester Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a MOT Tester to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Fitting brakes, exhausts and other mechanical products;
- Adhere to company procedures on the use of vehicle inspection sheets;
- Permanent;
- Stevenage;
- Carry out MOT testing in accordance with VOSA testing requirements;
- Ensure you do not work on any product or service that you have not been assessed as competent in or trained to carry out;
- Fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments;
- Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard;
- Make customers and/or management aware of any additional faults found on the customers vehicle;
- Full UK driving licence;
- Carrying out MOT Failure rectification work as and when required;
- The ability to communicate with customers effectively;
- A sound Mechanical knowledge;
- Hold a valid MOT Tester Licence;
- Have previous working experience within an MOT Tester role.
Requirements:
- The ability to multitask and think on your feet;
- Proactive approach and able to work on own initiative;
- Friendly and approachable manner;
- Reliable and the able to work to deadlines;
- MOT Tester Licence // DBSA;
- Experience of working in a similar role (qualifications desirable but not essential);
- The ability to communicate with customers effectively;
- Have previous working experience within an MOT Tester role;
- A sound Mechanical knowledge;
- Ensuring VOSA standards are met at all times;
- Hold a valid MOT Tester Licence;
- Carrying out MOT Failure rectification work as and when required;
- Full UK driving licence.
