Quality Controller Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Quality Controller to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely to the sales/operations team;
- Check all bookings made by sales team have been entered correctly;
- Temperature checking of product and actions in accordance with Temperature Procedure;
- Working cross functionally with all production units and logistics;
- General liaison between warehouse staff and head office relating to QC queries / problems;
- To investigate any stock shortages or gains identified;
- Ensure all raw materials and packaging is released into the business following a detailed intake procedure against specification;
- Responsible to ensure claims are reflective of the raw material specification;
- Carry out Food Safety investigations and provide technical advice;
- Audit CCP checks on-line and validate metal detection checks to comply with food safety/HACCP requirements;
- Support the business when surveyor (loss adjuster) is required to assess loads;
- Assist in the production and dispatch of fully assembled units and stock;
- Ensuring heavy workload is balanced in line with KPIs;
- Cleaning of material;
- Reconciling data quickly and accurately relating to orders.

- Conduct inspection on return goods/special measures – to confirm acceptance for use / restocking of such items;
- Ensure any serious quality issues found are reported to the Junior QA manager at the earliest possible stage;
- Perform routine internal analysis i.e. sugar/acid ratios, Juice content tests, recording information on internal database;
- Participate in Vocational Training Qualification attainment;
- Assist and support trainer as a training buddy with trainings or refreshers given to AMT employees;
- Monitor and manage the Quality of the produce in storage through stock re-evaluations;
- To collect samples both for customer and testing. Ensuring product meets requirements for set samples;
- Previous experience in a quality assurance/control role is beneficial (experience within the flower industry would be an advantage);
- At least minimum experience as a Quality Controller in a packhouse;
- Cover in the Shelf Life when required in connection to performing S/L daily duties;
- The role requires an alert disposition, working in the vicinity of PPT and moving machinery;
- To monitor stock rotation and allocations. Reporting any issues to operations;
- To carry out any other requirement within the role as and when instructed by Technical /Quality assurance management.
