TIG welder Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a TIG welder to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Tig Welding;
- Implementing Health and Safety policies;
- Focus on quality, time and productivity targets;
- Maintain a professional and responsible attitude at all times;
- Check drawings, measurements, and customer specification prior to welding;
- Weld products in accordance with Engineering drawings and standards;
- The ability to work towards and meet targets;
- Working to tight tolerances, from 0.4mm – 0.8mm;
- Fabricating of Vented and Unvented Hot Water Cylinders in copper and stainless steel;
- The ability to read and work from scaled drawings;
- TIG welding of Electrical Heat Generators;
- Repair and production of manifolds & exhausts;
- General welding repair work.
Requirements:
- Any relevant City and Guilds qualifications would be advantageous;
- Willingness to work long hours and overtime as and when needed;
- Must be punctual and have a good work ethic;
- Must have a proven track record within the sheet metal industry;
- Have experience working with thin gauge metal;
- Must be able TIG weld high standard;
- TIG Qualification or given evidence of working within the industry for a number of years;
- Apprentice trained Sheet Metal Worker would be advantageous;
- Work individually and part of a team;
- Must have previous experience 2 years experience in all types of TIG Welding working with stainless steel;
- MIG Welding;
- Excellent communication and organisational skills;
- TIG Welding;
- Fabricating experience.
