Our company is looking for a TIG welder to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Tig Welding;
  • Implementing Health and Safety policies;
  • Focus on quality, time and productivity targets;
  • Maintain a professional and responsible attitude at all times;
  • Check drawings, measurements, and customer specification prior to welding;
  • Weld products in accordance with Engineering drawings and standards;
  • The ability to work towards and meet targets;
  • Working to tight tolerances, from 0.4mm – 0.8mm;
  • Fabricating of Vented and Unvented Hot Water Cylinders in copper and stainless steel;
  • The ability to read and work from scaled drawings;
  • TIG welding of Electrical Heat Generators;
  • Repair and production of manifolds & exhausts;
  • General welding repair work.

Requirements:

  • Any relevant City and Guilds qualifications would be advantageous;
  • Willingness to work long hours and overtime as and when needed;
  • Must be punctual and have a good work ethic;
  • Must have a proven track record within the sheet metal industry;
  • Have experience working with thin gauge metal;
  • Must be able TIG weld high standard;
  • TIG Qualification or given evidence of working within the industry for a number of years;
  • Apprentice trained Sheet Metal Worker would be advantageous;
  • Work individually and part of a team;
  • Must have previous experience 2 years experience in all types of TIG Welding working with stainless steel;
  • MIG Welding;
