Our company is looking for a Trade Counter Sales Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing verbal and email quotes for customers;
  • Dealing with face to face, telephone and email enquiries;
  • Checking and recording delivery paperwork;
  • Building and maintaining good working relationships with your team and customers;
  • Obtaining stock for customer orders;
  • Providing sales and technical support on products for customers;
  • Stock management with a high degree of accuracy;
  • Providing customers with information such as stock availability, pricing and lead times;
  • Complete system transactions for dispatch of stock, goods in, receiving and stock locations;
  • Processing relevant paperwork;
  • Picking, loading, delivering and unloading goods at customer sites within the local area;
  • Ensuring vehicles are maintained and kept clean;
  • Meeting and greeting customers in the store and at the trade counter;
  • Daily warehouse duties;
  • Meeting and greeting customers into store and at the trade counter.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Experience of a similar role in a trade or retail environment;
  • Driven to achieve high standards;
  • Ability to communicate at all levels professionally;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • High level of self-motivation;
  • Good organisational skills;
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and on own initiative;
  • A full clean drivers license;
  • Organised and structured approach to work and tasks;
  • Trade counter knowledge and experience including some sales background;
  • Plastic and window knowledge preferred but not essential as training can be provided;
  • Knowledge of the local market;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • A full and valid driving license is essential.
