Our company is looking for a Sales Engineer – UK to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with the relevant technical communities within the region; in addition, presenting at or hosting your own events, local PR, blogging, etc;
- Work from the London area with up to 50% travel within the region and occasionally outside (team meetings, global gatherings or out-of-region support);
- Actively participate in client meetings and presentations with Account Executives to identify technical requirements;
- Support regional marketing campaigns and partner events;
- Develop technical materials for customers and other Sales Engineers;
- Coordinating Proof of Concept (POC) delivery to demonstrate value and differentiation;
- Work closely with buyers in the process integration of Contrast products;
- Delivering high-level and detailed technical presentations tailored to specific customers requirements;
- Understand the customer’s business drivers and how to map these to a Contrast solution;
- Provide reporting and feedback on customer accounts and field activities to Sales, Product Management and Engineering;
- Mapping technical and business value to align with key business goals;
- Understand / Educate / Evangelize the concept of continuous + real-time application security and the need for it;
- Confirm that Contentstack meets a prospect’s requirements and provide technical expertise to the overall sales qualification process;
- Work with Account Executives, Engineering and Customer Support teams to ensure successful delivery of solutions to customers;
- Ownership of all pre-sales documentation and technical lead on client proposals and questionnaires, such as RFIs, RFPs, and SOWs.
Requirements:
- Experience with a mainstream programming/scripting language (preferably JavaScript);
- 2+ years experience in sales engineering and/or professional consultancy;
- Strong presentation and/or white-boarding skills;
- Appetite to discover various popular development platforms (both front- and back-end);
- Technical background; Bachelor in Computer Science (or equivalent through experience);
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience designing and presenting technical solutions to meet customer requirements;
- 3+ years of enterprise sales engineering experience;
- Understand and be conversant about Contrast’s competitors, their solutions, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats;
- Expert in SaaS business applications, CMS, commerce, personalization, marketing automation, business analytics, etc;
- Proven track record of selling, building and deploying technology solutions;
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS;
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science or equivalent four-year college technical degree;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional presentation skills; self-starter, cooperative attitude; team player;
- Dedicated follow-through and accountability, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
