Technical Sales Support Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Technical Sales Support to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all appropriate project, account and contact information is added to the CRM system;
- Assist technical teams in producing and checking project specification proposals, test reports, site visit reports and other technical documentation;
- You will provide all elements of support for sales, technical, H&S, general enquiries and incoming phone calls;
- To promote sales through researching, qualifying and developing appropriate new-build project leads;
- Provide general administration support to internal and external teams, customers and clients;
- Maintain and update the company’s bespoke database;
- Providing cost estimates and preparing quotes upon demand;
- Keeping records of job costing/estimating;
- To provide effective handover and support to the Service teams;
- Working closely with technical support staff to submit orders and confirm effectiveness of products suggested;
- Establishing new customers and accounts through market research, call schedules and lead tracking;
- Creating sales job files;
- Organising investigatory and on-site testing;
- To communicate relevant information throughout the Business Development Teams;
- To research and identify relevant project and account lead information and pass all appointments across to the Business Development Managers.
Requirements:
- Team work effectively;
- Present successful problem solving skills;
- You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Have brilliant experience in running IT application-based training sessions;
- Computer literacy;
- GCSE Maths and English grade C or 5, or above;
- A’ Levels or equivalent;
- Experience of preparing quotations and order processing whilst working to deadlines;
- HVAC or related engineering qualification would be an advantage;
- You must have brilliant planning and organisation skills;
- Hold prior experience within the access control environment;
- Experience of working in a reactive service environment;
- Possess experience with network security, communications and firewall configurations;
- Have an electrical/mechanical qualification;
- You must have a proven track record of technical support.
