Our company is looking for a Travel Consultant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle enquiries over the telephone and in writing;
  • Supporting members and clients across the globe with all aspects of their travel requirements, booking flights, hotels, car hire and activities;
  • Entering booking and client data into the in-house operations system;
  • Tailor-making itineraries for clients;
  • Liaising with and selling to clients, sometimes face-to-face at client offices or trade fairs, or by phone, email and Skype;
  • Contracting new UK/Ireland/European suppliers and rates as required;
  • Providing exceptional customer service at all times;
  • Taking calls from clients and agents;
  • Dealing with all aspects of the day to day running of the operations;
  • Planning itineraries in the UK, Ireland and Europe and negotiating rates with suppliers;
  • Managing high volumes of complex information;
  • General administration;
  • Ensuring that you have a good understanding of their company’s products and services;

Requirements:

  • A great team player with strong PC skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Knowledge of another language (desirable);
  • Ability to multi-task;
  • Good negotiation skills;
  • Customer orientated;
  • Excellent English;
  • Excellent time management skills/ability to prioritise workload;
  • Knowledge of the UK and Ireland is helpful;
  • Have excellent sales skills;
  • Previous experience in tour operating or a closely related field;
  • Ability to talk with confidence;
  • Experience in a target driven environment, upselling suitable products and managing customer expectations;
  • Good telephone manner;
  • Good communication skills.
