FLT Counterbalance Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a FLT Counterbalance to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Raise any H&S issues, incidents or accidents directly to the Shift Supervisor or Depot Manager;
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area, assisting in maintaining the tidiness of the warehouse, canopy and trailers whenever required;
- Efficiently stacking and storing the palletised freight in the appropriate areas and onto the correct vehicles;
- Daily, inspect forklift trucks and, if necessary, report any defects found;
- Stock control;
- Operate in a safe and conscientious manner;
- Picking products in the warehouse using the Forklift truck;
- Communicating effectively within the workplace;
- General house keeping and yard duties;
- Goods in and out;
- Responsible for following warehouse procedures;
- Moving stock to and from production areas;
- Adhering to all health and safety rules and regulations;
- Must be punctual and have good work ethic;
- Responsible for adhering to Site Safety Rules and setting Safety standards.
Requirements:
- Working from Monday – Friday nights 22:00 – 07.00 hrs;
- Previous counterbalance experience is essential for this fast-paced environment;
- You will be required to load and unload heavy goods vehicles;
- An RTITB or equivalent counterbalance FLT certificate is an essential requirement;
- Ability to show resilience and a flexible approach;
- Ability to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectives;
- Ability to sustain and develop team working and team based problem solving;
- British PPT License;
- British Counterbalance or Reach Truck License (preferably both);
- Available to work Monday to Friday;
- Able to Work as a Team;
- Previous counterbalance license;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Full valid driver’s license;
- Proven track/knowledge of working in a Factory/Warehouse environment.
