FLT Driver Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a FLT Driver to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading wagons;
- Moving pallets of product from warehousing to distribution areas;
- Loading and unloading lorries;
- Load and unload deliveries using a FLT;
- Despatching finished goods;
- Keeping your working area safe and clear from hazards;
- Using a Fork lift as a main responsibility;
- Moving goods via reach and counterbalance;
- Picking required assemblies and loading assemblies into sequence order;
- Understanding written & verbal instructions and effectively communicating with your work colleagues;
- Heavy lifting up to 25kilo;
- General warehouse duties;
- Sequencing automotive parts;
- Must have external Reach, VNA or PPT license;
- Must have a valid FLT licence and a minimum of 1 years experience in an FLT role.
Requirements:
- Physically Fit;
- An RTITB or equivalent counterbalance FLT certificate is an essential requirement;
- Working from Monday – Friday nights 16:00 – 00.30hrs;
- You will be required to load and unload heavy goods vehicles;
- Previous counterbalance experience is essential for this fast-paced environment;
- Reach FLT licence would be ideal but not essential;
- A desire to learn and develop new skills;
- In date FLT licence (Refreshed within the last 3 years);
- Good punctuality and attendance;
- FLT driving Experience.
