HGV Class 1 Driver Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Unloading deliveries;
- To help maintain a safe working environment in line with H&S Act 1974;
- Working at a height without a harness (approx. 4′ off the ground);
- Driving Class 1 HGV;
- Coupling and uncoupling;
- Daily lorry walk round checks;
- Moving load around on vehicle to create space to collect media returns;
- Carrying out relevant paper work;
- Adhering to Working Time Regulations;
- Liaising with customers;
- Transporting multi temperature food stock to stores, frozen, grocery and chilled goods;
- Days, late and night shift starts;
- Delivering to various company distribution centres;
- Safe delivery of goods to a variety of customers;
- To ensure good self-presentation.
Requirements:
- Good work Ethic;
- A valid HGV Class 1 CE;
- Full CPC and Digi card required;
- Maximum of 6 points on license, for insurance purposes;
- HGV class 1 – category C+E on the back of your licence;
- Valid Digital Tachograph card is essential;
- Can be either PAYE or SE;
- Must have Digital card and CPC card;
- No more than 6 points / DD or DR for insurance purposes;
- Minimum age of 23;
- Current CPC Driver Qualification Card;
- Drivers CPC (Full training will be provided);
- Current CPC;
- No DR, IN or TT conviction codes and no more than 6 points;
- Experienced HGV class 1, C+E Drivers.
