Loading Bay Operative Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Loading Bay Operative to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Arrange porterage as appropriate;
- Support the logistical service delivered to all internal and external customers;
- Use the Fork Lifts to move heavy loads;
- Use the associated computer software programme to co-ordinate and schedule loading bay activity;
- Support the flow of goods in and out ensuring a safe, secure and efficient service;
- Sort goods to be distributed throughout the office;
- Comply with all health and safety regulations;
- Some heavy lifting may be required;
- Check all deliveries against the delivery note to check quality and quantity;
- Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by the Supervisor or Manager.
Requirements:
- Good IT understanding;
- Previous Loading Bay and Logistics experience;
- Flexible and positive attitude to work;
- Must have Fork Lift License and experience;
- Ideally own their own safety boots.
