Refuse Collector Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Refuse Collector to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Collecting and removing recyclables from residential, commercial and industrial properties;
- Collecting waste along designated routes within a municipality and emptying refuse receptacles into the truck;
- Dealing with members of the public;
- Walking between streets to collect refuse bins;
- Collecting Waste and Recycling bins;
- Working well with others within a team environment;
- Loading and unloading lorries;
- Completing specific routes in specific time periods in order to complete the work;
- Identifying and handling hazardous waste to ensure the necessary precautions are taken for disposal.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a similar role would be useful;
- Holding a driving license would be advantageous and preferred due to the locations of the sites, but not essential.
