Our company is looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide cover for other Team Leaders where necessary;
  • The Trade Counter to maintain its service at the highest level;
  • Effective and efficient organisation and clear direction to operational staff on shift of day to day tasks within the warehouse;
  • Manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff;
  • To ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff;
  • Colleague engagement is at the forefront of the business, thus you will be expected to promote a healthy environment;
  • To carry out any similar duties as required by the Warehouse Leads and Warehouse Managers;
  • Joint responsibility for continuous improvement within the warehouse such as GEMBA walks and Kaizen events;
  • Notify the controller or purchaser of any failed deliveries;
  • Carry out plans set out by the business to compete all activities while meeting warehouse targets;
  • Allocating mechanical handling equipment and RF Scan equipment;
  • Responsibility for understanding the days work load requirements for defined area;
  • Conduct staff appraisals and set KPI’s;
  • Ensure the strapping and dispatching of goods from the business is correct and safe, liaising with Dispatch and POP supervisors;
  • Advise of stock shortages/damages in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a warehouse environment;
  • Proven leadership skills;
  • Ideally degree educated (BA / BSc / BEng);
  • Strong background of knowledge in warehousing and logistics;
  • IOSH or NEBOSH is desirable, but not essential;
  • Customer Service;
  • Experience working in a despatch environment and movement of stock;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and individually;
  • Previous Warehouse experience, ideally managing a team;
  • Understanding of warehouse practises e.g. picking, loading and E Commerce;
  • Management/Supervisory experience in a similar environment;
  • PC Literate;
  • Experience of managing a small team;
  • In date Counterbalance license;
  • At least 5 Years’ Experience within a fast paced warehouse environment.
