Physics Teachers - Secondary Schools

A high-achieving and inclusive 11–18 secondary school in Gloucester is seeking an ambitious and inspirational Physics Teacher to join their thriving Science Faculty from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent role, offering the chance to teach within a forward-thinking school community that celebrates academic excellence, innovation, and student engagement.

The successful candidate will teach Physics across KS3–KS5 , delivering stimulating lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific understanding. You will design creative, experiment-based learning experiences that help students connect classroom theory with real-world applications, while supporting them to achieve strong outcomes in GCSE and A-Level Physics.

In addition to classroom teaching, you will play an active role in promoting science beyond the curriculum — through STEM clubs, robotics and engineering projects, and physics competitions , encouraging students to apply their learning in exciting, hands-on contexts. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of science educators to continually develop schemes of work, share best practice, and contribute to the department’s ongoing success.
