Chemistry Teacher - Science Teacher/nqt
A prestigious, Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school and sixth form in Camden, Central London, known for its academic rigour and strong university placement record in STEM, is seeking an Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Science (Chemistry Specialist) for a January 2026 start.
ECT Programme & Support
Bespoke ECF Delivery: Personalised two-year ECF induction with a dedicated Mentor, ensuring rapid development in all aspects of the Teachers' Standards.
Reduced Contact Time: Full entitlement to the reduced teaching load
(10% in Year 1) to facilitate observation, planning, and dedicated ECF training.
ECT Community: Join a supportive cohort of new teachers who engage in regular reflection and collaborative practice across the school.
The Role
Deliver outstanding lessons across the Science curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, specialising in Chemistry instruction for GCSE.
Assist in the planning and preparation of practical demonstrations, ensuring a stimulating and hands-on learning environment.
Be a proactive and committed Form Tutor, contributing positively to the school's highly effective pastoral system.
Requirements
QTS
and a degree in Chemistry or a closely related scientific field, attained by January 2026.
Evidence of high-quality teaching during placements and a firm grasp of subject pedagogy in Science.
A commitment to working in a highly aspirational and diverse inner-city school environment.
