Year 2 teacher Full Time Permanent

Role summary - Year 2 Teacher
The Year 2 Teacher will design carefully sequenced reading, writing and mathematics units as the Year 2 Teacher, coach early number sense and reasoning as the Year 2 Teacher, and run targeted boosters as the Year 2 Teacher. The Year 2 Teacher will moderate standards, prepare assessment evidence and work with parents to ensure continuity of learning. From the first CPD week in January 2026 the Year 2 Teacher will be part of a supportive professional learning community.
Year 2 Teacher Requirements
- Qualified with QTS/PGCE (or equivalent) and track record as a Year 2 Teacher.
- Confident phonics and reading pedagogy, with a nurturing but ambitious approach as the Year 2 Teacher.
- Availability for planning prior to January 2026, induction in January 2026, and to start teaching from January 2026 as the Year 2 Teacher.
Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality English and mathematics lessons as the Year 2 Teacher.
- Use assessment to personalise learning and run timely interventions as the Year 2 Teacher.
- Liaise with parents, contribute to curriculum development and support school events as the Year 2 Teacher.
