Aramark UK are currently recruiting an experienced Chef Manager to join our team working at the Salvation Army, EH8 9UE
You will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of the unit, preparing meals, delegating tasks to your team and leading your team to success.
Permanent role
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work

Plan, prepare, and deliver nutritious, balanced meals for a diverse community
Create seasonal, inclusive menus meeting dietary, allergen, vegetarian, and vegan requirements
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control
Lead, motivate, and manage the catering team, including recruitment, rotas, training, and performance
Ensure full compliance with food safety, HACCP, health & safety legislation, and record keeping
Manage budgets, stock, suppliers, waste, and costs to meet financial targets
Deliver excellent customer experiences and lead catering for events & hospitality functions
Ensure that all weekly and monthly timesheets are collated and returned by the appropriate deadlines and as per payroll Instructions.
Deal with all staff performance, disciplinary issues in line with company procedures.
Proven experience as a Chef Manager, Head Chef, or Catering Manager
Background in education, contract catering, or large scale catering environments
Strong leadership and people management skills Sound knowledge of food safety legislation and allergen management
