Weekend Cafe Supervisor

Hamilton Barber Recruitment is working in partnership with a purpose-driven organisation to recruit an experienced Café Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of a busy, customer-focused café operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, flagship environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality service while leading and developing a team.

As Café Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a high-volume café. You will support the management team in driving performance, maintaining standards, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

This role requires a proactive, organised individual who is confident managing people, performance, and compliance within a fast-paced hospitality setting.

Operations & Service Delivery

  • Oversee the daily running of a flagship, fast-paced café
  • Ensure consistently high standards of food quality and customer service
  • Lead by example, remaining hands-on within service

People Management

  • Supervise, support and motivate café staff
  • Lead on rota planning and resource management
  • Provide coaching and on-the-job training to team members

Performance & Commercial Focus

  • Implement KPI setting and performance monitoring
  • Drive revenue growth through effective service and upselling
  • Oversee stock control, ordering and waste management
  • Ensure all health & safety, hygiene and food safety standards are met
  • Maintain full compliance with policies, procedures and audit requirements

We are looking for a confident and capable supervisor with strong operational and people management experience.

Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume or flagship café environment

  • Experience managing rotas and staffing levels
  • Strong understanding of KPIs and commercial performance
  • Knowledge of health & safety, hygiene and food safety standards
  • Experience in stock control and cost management
  • Hands-on approach with previous cooking or food preparation experience
