Salary up to £44.232.30 per annum, plus, company van & fuel card

42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday- Friday)

A bit about our branch, the North Task Team (Based in Durham) along with our South Team (Based in Essex) Our team helps mobilise, demobilise and support contracts throughout the whole of Mears, we provide support for contracts that are understaffed, have works in progress that need reducing. This means we can work on any contract within Mears who needs assistance with staying away/travelling to assist on contracts.

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our team you will be carrying out a variety of property maintenance tasks, including carpentry, painting, plastering, brickwork, tiling, silicone/mastic works, groundworks and minor plumbing in Tenanted/Void properties. The role requires a delivering high-quality repairs and installations across domestic properties.

With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to improving social housing standards, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that’s making a real difference in the community. Carry out day-to-day responsive repairs across tenanted social housing properties

Installing and adjusting kitchen units, worktops, and cupboard doors

Carrying out patch plastering and making good, damaged walls or ceilings

Completing wall and floor tiling repairs, including grouting and sealing

Painting and decorating to a professional finish following repair works

Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order

Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance across multiple trades (e.g. carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating)

Full UK driving licence
