34,885 for CE (HGV 1) license, £31,405 for C (HGV 2) license
On Target Earnings: £41,000 for a CE licence, and £35,000 for a C licence
Shifts: Rolling roster, work 18 days out of every 28, with two full weekends off.
Standard Shift Duration: 9 hours and 45 minutes, including a 45-minute break.
While standard shifts are under 10 hours, end-of-shift flexibility is essential. Depot Postcode: GL2 5DA
To be eligible for this role you must live within 25 miles or 1 hours travel from the depot.
As an HGV Recovery Driver, you’ll often work independently, but the moment you step out of your truck, you become a source of calm and confidence. Whether it’s transporting a vehicle to a garage or helping someone reach their destination, you’ll make a real difference in their day and their journey.
Delivering exceptional service by safely recovering vehicles and reassuring customers during breakdowns, helping them get back on the road quickly.
A full Category C (HGV Class 2) driving licence is essential. If you already hold a Category CE (HGV Class 1) licence — great! A valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and a digital tachograph card.
Flexibility to work shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays because breakdowns don’t stick to a schedule.
