Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA)

Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Term-time only

Start Date: Immediate / September Start

We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and nurturing EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive Early Years team in a primary school or nursery setting within Ealing . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and enjoys supporting young children during their most important formative years.

As an EYFS TA, you will work alongside class teachers and Early Years practitioners to support children aged 3–5 years , helping them to develop socially, emotionally, and academically in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework .

Work with individual children and small groups to support learning and development

Assist with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and creative activities

Promote positive behaviour, social interaction, and emotional wellbeing

Support children with personal care where required (toileting, dressing, mealtimes)

Observe, assess, and record children’s progress in line with EYFS requirements

Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment

Support outdoor learning and structured play

Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents

Has a genuine passion for working with young children

Can support children with varying levels of ability and confidence

Communicates effectively with children and adults

Experience working with children in an EYFS, nursery, or early years setting

Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years

Experience supporting children with additional needs in EYFS

First Aid or Safeguarding training
