Companies don’t usually provide an experience letter by default, the employee has to request it. If you’ve never dealt with it before, there are some tips to facilitate the task for you.
If you are going to make a request for an experience letter, it’s better to do it in advance. As we’ve mentioned before, the process of creation takes some time to collect and organise the information. If you want to receive a letter of high quality, inform your manager, boss, or HR manager on the same day when you hand in your notice.
It’s a good idea to create a record of your request by sending it via e-mail, printing it out, or writing it by hand. It’s important to keep a copy of it. Of course, you should stick to a polite and professional tone throughout the document. Here are some key elements that you can consider including in your request for an experience letter:
