Jooble, the international job aggregator, has made significant strides in improving its services for users and partners. The company has implemented a comprehensive new solution from Cloudflare featuring Bot Management, an advanced system for bot protection, alongside a content delivery network (CDN).
Why it matters
In addition to regular job seekers and search engine bots, Jooble also encounters “bad” bots. These create several issues:
- Increased infrastructure load: this additional load can slow down page loading times for job seekers. A degraded user experience may lead job seekers to leave the site sooner.
- Distorted statistics: the bots can skew product statistics, making it harder for our Data Analytics team to analyse user behaviour.
- Traffic quality issues: bots can redirect users to our partners’ sites, affecting the quality of traffic seen by our partners.
Previously, we addressed this issue using another provider’s bot management. However, this solution had limitations — it only protected the page leading to the client’s website and did not cover the entire user journey from the job page to the partner’s site.

What has changed with the implementation of Cloudflare solutions

- Improved bot protection. Cloudflare Bot Management offers a comprehensive solution that safeguards the entire Jooble site, not just individual pages. This upgrade enables us to detect up to 25% more bots, ensuring our partners receive higher-quality traffic from genuine users.
- Faster loading speeds. With Cloudflare’s CDN, content delivery is quicker. This means visitors can browse job listings more rapidly and stay on the site longer, which enhances their chances of finding a suitable position and moving to the partner’s site.
- Improved internal analytics. More accurate data on real users allows Jooble to conduct more effective product experiments. For example, by comparing different job subscription options, we can make decisions that directly influence our partners’ conversion rates.
Why Cloudflare?
Cloudflare is a robust system that meets our needs. Its services are trusted by leading companies such as IBM, Amazon, Microsoft, and Discord.
By adopting Cloudflare solutions, Jooble is aligning with the needs of our partners and users. This update ensures:
- Higher-quality traffic: partners benefit from more genuine user traffic.
- Enhanced user experience: job seekers enjoy faster and more reliable site performance, increasing their engagement and likelihood of finding a suitable job.
- More accurate experiments: Jooble can perform precise experiments, leading to improved conversion rates for our partners.
We are committed to investing in technologies that enhance the efficiency of job searches. Jooble is creating a more efficient, secure, and productive job search and hiring system. Join us on this journey!
