Facilities Apprentice

We’re looking for a Facilities Apprentice (Grade 5) to join the Facilities team at Elexon on a 24-month fixed-term contract .

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to start your career in Facilities Management , combining structured learning with meaningful, hands-on experience in a professional workplace. You’ll work towards the IWFM Level 2 Facilities Services qualification while earning a salary and learning directly from an experienced and supportive team.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll gain practical experience across workplace services, office operations, health and safety, customer service and facilities administration . You’ll be trusted with real responsibilities and supported to build the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for a successful career in facilities, with the opportunity designed to prepare you for progression into a Facilities Assistant role.

If you’re organised, proactive and eager to learn , you don’t need previous facilities experience. We’ll provide the training, guidance and support you need to develop and succeed.

Please note that this is a fully office-based apprenticeship, and you’ll be required to work from our London office five days a week .

What you’ll do:

• Support the day-to-day delivery of Facilities Management services

• Assist with meeting room setup , catering, room layouts, and AV equipment

• Support reception, visitor management, post, deliveries, and document services

• Replenish office stationery, consumables, and workplace supplies

• Assist with new starter, mover, and leaver activities, including desk setup

• Support the planning and delivery of internal events

• Carry out routine workplace and health & safety checks , escalating issues where appropriate

• Coordinate maintenance requests with contractors and suppliers

• Provide excellent customer service to colleagues, visitors, and contractors

• Learn Facilities Management best practice while completing the IWFM Level 2 qualification
