Locum Consultant Radiologist with interest in Interventional Radiology

Job summary
Applicants are invited for a Locum Consultant Radiologist post, with an interest in interventional radiology.

Main duties of the job
The post is locum cover for 3 months, with up to 3 sessions commitment to interventional radiology at Croydon University Hospital (CUH). CUH is a large London DGH which performs a wide range of IR procedures including peripheral angioplasty/stenting, embolisations, venous intervention, biliary/urology procedures as well as image guided biopsies, drains and lines. An illustrative job plan of 10 programmed activities is available in the job description. There will be 8.5 Direct Clinical care sessions and 1.5 SPA. There is a 1 in 14 diagnostic on-call commitment, with overnight cover provided by a tele-radiology service. There is no interventional on-call commitment. The job plan may be adapted by agreement, with the possibility of part-time working.

Applicants must be on the Specialist Register, or be within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCST, at the time of interview for the post.

Qualifications
Essential

• Medical degree.
• Radiology qualification.
• GMC Registration.

Experience
Essential

• Experience of undertaking wide range of Radiology procedures at Consultant level.

Desirable

• Experience gained in an NHS hospital.
