Axcis Education is working in partnership with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across St Helens, recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Roles are available supporting whole-class learning, delivering small-group interventions, and providing dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Support pupils in the classroom to help them achieve their full potential
• Work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging, inclusive and creative lessons
• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support where needed
• Encourage confidence, independence and positive social development
• Help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
• Support pupils with additional learning, communication and behavioural needs where required
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and the wider school team to promote positive outcomes for every child

Who We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from candidates who:
• Have experience working with children in schools, nurseries, childcare or similar settings
Or have transferable experience from roles such as:
• Health and social care
• Residential care
• Youth work or mentoring
• Sports coaching
• Emergency services
• Community or customer-facing roles
• Are patient, caring and enthusiastic about supporting children
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Are reliable, proactive and adaptable
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to apply for one (we'll support you through the process)
