M&A Tax Senior Associate (US Tax) - London, UK

We are working with a Big 4 global accountancy firm in London who currently seek a talented and high calibre M&A Tax Senior Associate (US Tax). The role comes about due to continued growth of the group and will primarily focus on tax due diligence services for private equity and corporate clients with respect to domestic and cross-border acquisitions.
The role will be based out of the firms London office and you will work alongside some very talented people in the M&A tax field as well as professionals from other parts of the business.
You will be advising on tax issues arising in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, entity restructurings, tax-free reorganizations, entity formations, distributions, and due diligence.
You will be assisting clients on a variety of federal and international tax matters, including numerous cross border transactions for private equity and strategic clients on both the buy side and sell side. Your participation in these transactions will include tax due diligence services, pre and post-acquisition structuring assistance, and review of purchase and sale agreements.
You will be coordinating international tax due diligence projects with member firms, assisting clients in calculating ownership shift percentages pursuant to Section 382. Assisting clients with calculating their year-to-date earnings and profits and stock basis in subsidiaries. Drafting reports and memoranda that address tax issues in reorganizations and acquisitions.
To be eligible for this opportunity you will need to be US CPA, JD qualified. It is also desirable but not essential that you hold a LLM in International Tax. You will need to have at least 3 years experience in the field as well as a strong desire to eventually lead a team and move through the ranks of the firm.
