Provide second-line risk oversight and challenge within a leading personal lines insurer in a role offering a good level of autonomy

Are you a qualified actuary or risk manager with broad exposure across GI pricing, capital and reserving (2 nd or 1 st line)?

Then this is an exceptional opportunity to join a major personal lines insurer in a role which will provide a great deal of exciting challenge and autonomy.

This is a position which offers the chance to support strong risk management across the product lifecycle including pricing strategy, underwriting performance, portfolio monitoring and reserving assumptions.

Providing second line review and challenge of pricing and underwriting models and strategies, you will assess whether financial and insurance risk practices operate within risk appetite and policy limits.

You will also be instrumental in challenging portfolio performance, pricing adequacy, risk selection and claims practices while supporting the oversight of reserving processes and reserve adequacy. 

In addition, you will produce risk reporting, dashboards and insights for senior management and committees, granting you a high level of responsibility and visibility.

With a strong analytical capability, including modelling, the successful candidate will possess experience reviewing risk models as well  as challenging model assumptions, methodologies and judgements.

Strong communication skills are a must, including the ability to explain things clearly and succinctly to non-technical audiences.
