Player Development Programme Coach

Department : Football and Education Projects

Reporting to: Head of Football and Education

Hours: 30 hours per week – weekday afternoon & evening, with some occasional weekend delivery.

Salary: £19,890 pa

Passport/Visa : Must be eligible to work in the UK

Location: Watford FC Training Ground / Vicarage Road / Trust Community Facilities / remote working due to nature of the role.

Contract Type: 12 month, fixed term

Are you a passionate team player who wants to make a positive difference to grassroots footballers in Hertfordshire and Harrow?

Look no further and apply to become one of our new Player Development Programme (PDP) Coaches.

Working primarily across weekday late afternoon and evenings, with some occasional weekend delivery, you will be part of a core team delivering coaching sessions across our three tiers of boys’ and girls’ player development programmes and associated activities.

Main Responsibilities:

Delivering technical coaching sessions on a number of the following programmes:

1. Skills Centres (boys’ and girls’ tier 1)

2. Player Development Centres (boys’ tier 2&3/girls’ tier 2/girls’ tier 3 Emerging Talent Centre)

3. Futsal Centre(s)

4. Matchday Packages (including football Tour visitors)

5. Football Development Camps

6. Player Development Events

General Responsibilities:

1. To actively demonstrate and promote the Trust’s core values through your work.#

2. Adhere to the Trust’s policies and procedures.

3. Contribute to the development of a culture of continuous improvement within the Trust.

4. To work in partnership with all the Club’s departments on community initiatives as identified by the Community Director and Board of Trustees.

5. To actively promote the Trust in a positive and professional manner at all times.

6. To undertake any other duties which might reasonably be deemed within the status of the job and appropriate to the post.
