SEN Teacher
Prospero Teaching is working with an independent school in the Salisbury area to recruit a passionate and committed SEN Teacher (QTS) for a September start . This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and well‑resourced setting that provides tailored education for pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
The school prides itself on creating a nurturing and structured learning environment where pupils are supported to develop academically, socially, and emotionally. With smaller class sizes and a personalised approach to education, staff are able to build strong relationships with pupils and make a meaningful impact on their progress.
This role would suit a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping every pupil achieve their full potential.
The Role:- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider support teams
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
- Promote engagement, confidence, and independence
- Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs
- Strong classroom management and relationship‑building skills
- Patient, adaptable, and resilient approach
- Able to differentiate learning effectively
- Committed to delivering high‑quality teaching and support
- Experience within SEN beneficial but not essential
- Suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs
