Prospero Teaching is working with a specialist SEMH school in the Salisbury area to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher (QTS) for a September start . This role would suit an experienced teacher or confident ECT who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and making a meaningful impact on their educational journey.
The Role:- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum
- Adapt teaching to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEMH needs
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Build strong relationships that promote engagement and learning
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
- Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and wider support teams
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within a primary setting
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Patient, resilient, and relationship‑focused approach
- Able to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning and emotional needs
- Passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH needs
- Suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs
