Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Graduate Quantity Surveyor
Location: Wakefield (with travel to sites around Yorkshire and one day working from home)
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 plus car allowance & excellent company benefits
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent 
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to the commercial team across civil engineering, streetsworks, and construction projects.
- Assist with cost control, valuations, budgeting, and reporting
- Support procurement and subcontractor package preparation
- Monitor project costs, variations, and commercial risks
- Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation
- Develop knowledge of contracts and commercial processes across the construction sector
The Ideal Candidate
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or related discipline) 
- Recent graduate or early in QS career 
- Motivated, ambitious, and keen to build a long-term career 
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
- Proactive, willing to learn, and take responsibility 
- Team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
