Early Help Education Partner
The Early Help Education Partner Role is an established role within the Early Help Service and plays a key role in supporting children and young people in relation to school attendance.
The role works closely with schools, families, and partner agencies to provide early intervention , improve attendance and prevent the need for more intensive support.
You will have experience of working in and an understanding of education, emotional wellbeing (including child mental health and neurodiversity), and early help, the post holder will work with schools and families to help remove barriers and support children and young people to engage in education.This could include both 1:1 and group work, dependent on emerging themes and identified support needs.
Being able to engage effectively with children, young people, and families, and having the ability to see the wider picture, is paramount. Understanding the need to approach things differently will be vital, so if you are creative and flexible, this could be the role for you.
You will need to be able to work on your own initiative across community settings, schools, and family homes, supporting families to develop new strategies and routines that enable children and young people to participate fully in their learning. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of the Attendance Strategy and support improved attendance and educational outcomes for children and young people.
