SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Loughton, Essex
Salary: From £14.25 per hour
Job Type: Full-time (Term-time)
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP / September 2026
• Assist with personal care, including hoisting and mobility support
• Manage and support challenging behaviour in a calm and patient manner
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Requirements • Previous experience supporting SEND students (essential)
• Experience with ASD, PMLD, or complex needs (highly desirable)
• Confident supporting challenging behaviour
• Comfortable providing personal care
• Reliable, patient, and empathetic approach About the School • Specialist SEND school for ages 3–19
• Located near the Central Line for easy access
• Excellent facilities, including equipment for wheelchair users and hoisting
