Front Office Manager – Louis Fitzgerald Hotel

At the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, we believe every great stay starts at Reception. We're looking for an enthusiastic, hands-on Front Office Manager to lead our Front Office team and create memorable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

About The Role

As Front Office Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the Front Office operation, ensuring the highest standards of guest care, operational efficiency and team performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, motivating and developing the Front Office team.
  • Ensuring exceptional guest service and creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Managing the daily operation of Reception, including arrivals, departures and guest enquiries.
  • Preparing departmental rosters and managing labour costs.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Monitoring departmental performance and driving continuous improvement.
  • Handling guest feedback and resolving issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Working closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, Food & Beverage and Maintenance to ensure a seamless guest journey.
  • Maintaining high standards of presentation, professionalism and compliance with hotel procedures.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a Front Office Manager, Assistant Front Office Manager or similar supervisory role within a hotel environment.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, organised and hands-on approach.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions.
  • Experience using hotel property management systems (Opera experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
