About the Role: As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide tailored support for students with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will offer one-to-one and small-group support, encourage positive engagement in learning and help create a calm, structured classroom environment where pupils feel safe, valued and ready to succeed. Responsibilities: * Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with SEMH needs. * Work alongside teachers to encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement. * Help students develop confidence, resilience and effective coping strategies. * Support pupils during lessons, transitions and other school activities. * Maintain a safe, calm and structured learning environment. * Share relevant observations and progress updates with the wider school team. Requirements: * Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable. * Experience supporting students with SEMH or additional needs is advantageous. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * A patient, calm and resilient approach. * The ability to build positive, professional relationships with students. * A genuine commitment to helping young people succeed in education.
