Start Date: September 2026 Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs? A welcoming school in Sheffield is looking for a compassionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. About the Role: As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored support to students who need additional help managing their emotions, behaviour and engagement with learning. Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff, you will encourage positive relationships, help students overcome barriers to education and contribute to a safe, structured classroom environment where every learner has the opportunity to succeed. This is a rewarding role for someone who is patient, understanding and committed to making a lasting difference. Requirements: * Previous experience working with children or young people with additional needs is desirable. * A calm, patient and empathetic approach. * Strong communication and relationship-building skills. * The ability to remain resilient in challenging situations. * A genuine commitment to supporting young people's wellbeing and education. * Experience within education, care, youth work or similar settings is advantageous.
