Job Title: Full-Time Teaching Assistant – Hearing Impaired Unit (Primary) Location: Leeds (LS17) Looking for a role where communication truly changes lives? We’re supporting a welcoming primary school in LS17 with a specialist Deaf and Hearing Impaired Unit, and they’re looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant who can use BSL or Makaton to support their pupils. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with children across primary ages, helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop communication skills in a supportive and inclusive setting. Your role will include: Providing consistent support to deaf and hard of hearing pupilsUsing BSL or Makaton to aid communication and learningSupporting across 1:1, small groups, and whole-class settingsWorking collaboratively with teachers and specialist staff We’re looking for: Experience with BSL or Makaton (essential)A caring, patient, and proactive approachExperience in SEND or education (preferred but not essential)Someone committed to making a long-term impact Why apply?
