Professional Discipline & Healthcare Litigation Solicitor - Edinburgh An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor with 3+ years' PQE to join a highly regarded litigation team specialising in professional discipline, regulatory and clinical defence work. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in a unique and rewarding area of practice, acting for a broad range of regulated professionals in complex and sensitive matters. You'll work on a varied caseload, representing clients in court proceedings, regulatory investigations and disciplinary hearings, while benefiting from exposure to high-quality work and excellent career development. The Role You will advise and represent regulated professionals in a broad range of matters, including:
- Professional discipline and regulatory investigations
- Clinical defence and complex litigation
- Court proceedings and public inquiries where appropriate
- Case preparation, including drafting pleadings, witness statements and legal submissions
- Instructing counsel and expert witnesses
- Advocacy at procedural hearings and, where appropriate, substantive hearings
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting business development and contributing to the continued success of the team
- Experience of court procedures and litigation
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for advocacy
- A proactive attitude towards business development
